A Little Bit About Me
My name is Madison Miller, I’m a young and aspiring artist from Oregon. My main drawing style is heavily inspired by the japanese cartoon art style known as anime, but with a little bit of my own twist added to it.
Growing up as an artist was both fun and challenging. Since I was very young, I’ve loved to draw people, especially characters from movies and TV shows. I loved showing them off to my family and friends, but once in awhile I would receive criticism that in my mind at the time wasn’t very positive. From then on I would always try to hide my art from people because I was too scared and defensive to show anyone without having that fear of receiving that criticism. All that changed when I joined AP Studio Art my Junior year of high school.
My first year of AP Studio Art really helped me understand that criticism isn’t meant to hurt the artist, but help the artist improve on their work. Nowadays I crave criticism from others, artists or non-artists. AP Studio Art has changed my outlook on growing as an artist, and I couldn’t be anymore pleased with the outcome.
